So long, and thanks for all the fish
Tokyo has long been on my travel to-do list, mainly because of the Tsukiji Fish market. The largest fish-market in the world, Tsukiji is home to fierce auctions over prized (and endangered, unfortunately) Bluefin Tuna, which is then shipped off to the best sushi restaurants around the world. Of course, the sushi at the market is pretty good too.

However, news this week is that poor behaviour by tourists mean that the market will be closed to visitors for at least one month; a ban that may become permanent.

Tsukiji is high on the must-see list for most visitors to Tokyo and it'll be a great pity if a few inconsiderate tourists have spoilt it for the rest of us.
